Engagements

sunset at coxhall gardens – engagement | miranda & wyatt

November 12, 2017

On a freezing (but beautiful) Friday evening, I met up with Miranda & Wyatt at Coxhall Gardens in Carmel, Indiana for their engagement session. I had never actually shot there myself, but weeks before, Miranda and I both agreed that the location looked gorgeous. We were originally supposed to shoot on a Sunday evening, but Wyatt is a Marine and he was on Veteran’s day leave. Unfortunately, his leave was cut a day short, so we had to move our session up a couple days. It actually ended up working perfectly, since Sunday turned out to be wet and rainy all day.

There were so many beautiful spots at Coxhall that would couldn’t even fit them all in our session. But the sun was shining golden, and the geese were peacefully swimming in the ponds, so we were able to get some really beautiful shots.

We had to take a couple of breaks throughout the session to defrost since it was windy and cold, but you’d never know that Miranda and Wyatt (and myself) were freezing our butts off!

These two were so easy to photograph; the way they looked at each other and make each other laugh throughout the session made my job so easy. You can tell that they are so in love and ready to begin their lives together.

Miranda & Wyatt – thank you for coming up to Carmel and letting me do your engagement shoot. I can’t wait to see you get married and I wish you the best life together. ❤️
