mr. & mrs. hanauer | missy & sean’s wedding day

Couples

The day of my baby sister’s wedding has come and gone. What a magical, emotional, incredible, and love filled day. Missy & Sean are finally husband and wife. Through the hardships of high school, different colleges, and long distances, these two have stood so many of the tests that cause many relationships to fail. They’re strong. They’re passionate. They’re in love.

The day was intense, so many things were happening. So many moving parts, the hustle and bustle. But by the time the first look rolled around, there was this overwhelming calm. Missy walked up behind Sean and wrapped her arms around him. The look on his face when he turned around to see his bride had me ugly crying. The two shared a private moment together which was so beautiful. I had to try to keep it together. This was my sister’s wedding, which made me feel even greater of a responsibility to ensure that the images I delivered to her were total perfection. When she looked back on them, I wanted her to feel the same joy she felt on the actual day.

The details, colors, and florals of this wedding were every photographer’s dream. Everything was so well thought out and put together, and the wonderful quirkyness that encompasses Missy & Sean as a couple really shined through in so many ways. From the gift box, to the cake toppers, there was no shortage of the bride & groom’s spin on their dream wedding.

Quickly after the ceremony, I stole them away to this gorgeous tree across the street. Photographing the newlyweds was magical. So many gorgeous shots of these two were captured, and it was so hard to narrow them down.

The ceremony was so much fun. So many of our friends and family were there and out on the dance floor, and I know that many memories were made that day.

Sean and Missy – it was and is an incredible honor and privilege to be your photographer, bridesmaid, and sister. I’m so excited to see you two grow together as husband and wife.

“You know all those things that we’ve promised, and hoped, and dreamed? Well, I meant it all… every word.”
